Robert Wayne (Bob) Scott, age 84, of Uhrichsville, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Trinity Hospital Twin City following a sudden illness.
Born in Deersville, Ohio on April 4, 1941, Bob was a son of the late Loris and Louella Rose Scott.
He was a graduate of the former Dennison High School and entered into the United States Army in 1959 and honorably served until his discharge in 1962.
As a young man, Bob worked for The Ohio State University as an office machine repairman. He later worked as a machinist for Rotek in Ravenna, Ohio and relocated to the Thornwood Park area of Dennison in 1981. For many years he owned and operated Park Sunoco and the Park Family Restaurant. The later years of his working career were spent in private security with the Gradall Company and Union Hospital.
Bob was an avid sports fan who loved football and basketball and was a diehard Browns and Ohio State fan. He also loved nature, hunting, camping, and spending long weekends with his family at Buckeye Lake. Above all, he loved supporting his son, spending time with his beloved wife, and sharing time with his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, the former Linda Lautzenheiser whom he married on June 27, 1976; their son, Rob (Jessica) Scott of Stafford, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Michael, Conner, Jayden, Christopher, Livia, and Hudson.
Completing the family are his sisters, Mary Allen of Akron, Ann Hubbard of Cincinnati, a brother Bill (Eleanor) Scott of Strasburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Art) Lichti; brothers and sisters-in-law, Loris Jr. (Luann) Scott, and Roy D. (Mary) Scott; and two brothers-in-law, June Knose and John Hubbard.
In honoring Bob’s wishes there will be no public services. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling cremation care.
