Ro-Jean Magnacca, age 84, of The Inn at Apple Ridge in Richfield, Ohio and formerly of Dover, died Sunday, August 16, 2026 following a period of declining health.
Born in Akron, Ohio on September 18, 1941, Ro-Jean was the daughter of the late Hillis Robert Kinley and Dorothy Elizabeth Kinley Beyke.
After graduating from Kenmore High School, Ro-Jean married Isadore “Izzy” Joseph Magnacca in Annunciation Catholic Church on September 9, 1961. Together the couple shared just over 39 years of marriage prior to his death on January 21, 2001.
Ro-Jean was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. She cherished time spent with her family, including casino trips with her in-laws. She especially enjoyed attending the many sporting and school activities of her grandchildren, proudly supporting them in band, choir, drama, football, baseball, cross country, track, and volleyball.
When she was not cheering on her grandchildren, Ro-Jean spent the spring and summer months following the Cleveland Indians (as she always preferred to call them) and enjoyed NCAA basketball during the winter. She also enjoyed playing bingo at St. Joseph and remained active on her class reunion committee.
Surviving are her children, Catherine (Ben) Beaber of Richfield, Joseph (Renee) Magnacca of Wadsworth, and Vincent Magnacca of Fairlawn; her grandchildren, Scott (Patricia) Beaber, Erin (Matthew) Sawka, Katie (Joe) Collins, Karissa Magnacca, Jerod Haddad, Eric (Alaina) Magnacca, and Anthony (Katie) Magnacca; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Quinn, Carmen, Madden, Gracie, Katie, Harper, and Evan; a sister, Patricia Henderson of Edmond, Oklahoma; good friends Becky Haddad and Cindy Haddad and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ro-Jean was preceded in death by brothers, Robert H. Kinley, and Charles E. Kinley; a sister, Mary A. Soldierson; in-laws, Louis (Norma) Magnacca, Mary (Raymond) Shotwell, and Anthony “Stick” Magnacca.
The family will greet guests on Saturday, August 29, from 10 – 11 AM in the St. Joseph Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
