Peggy L. Page Kellogg, 60, of Dover, died suddenly, Friday, April 27, 2018 in Union Hospital at Dover.
Born in Ashtabula, Ohio on January 30, 1958, Peggy was a daughter of the late Eleanor and Art Nichols and Roger Page.
A 1975 graduate of Dover High School, Peggy was employed as a sales representative for Campbell & Associates, Inc., Statewide Surveying Services.
She was a passionate animal lover, having rescued, advocated for and defended their rights for many years. All of her beloved pets lived happy, long lives while in Peggy’s care. She enjoyed riding horses, driving her all-terrain vehicle, spending time at the beach, and mostly being surrounded by a family that loved her.
Peggy will forever be remembered for her outgoing personality, her sense of humor and ability to entertain others through the most hilarious stories. Recently, she used her personality to her advantage as an activist for current political happenings and women’s rights; and had begun to participate in women’s equality marches. She utilized her twitter handle, @peggykellogg2, aptly named Eye of the Tiger, to share her views and opinions. Her generosity and “do good” nature knew no bounds and was well known and appreciated by family, friends and strangers alike.
Peggy leaves behind a daughter, Nicole (fiancé, Chris Chapman) Kellogg; two grandchildren, Vivi and Luca Chapman who were the loves of her life; step-children, David (Amy) Kellogg, and Laura (Pat) Maculaitis; her sisters, Pam (Kevin) Riley, Paula (Lewis) Cross, and Patty Applebee; her nieces and nephews, Bryn Kosec, Abby Brown, Lewis Cross, Jr., Mary Cross and Will Applebee. She leaves a gaping hole in the lives of everyone who knew her.
In addition to her mother and step-father and father, Peggy was preceded in death by a niece, Erin.
The family will greet guests on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 4-6 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Deacon Lynn Houze will lead a service celebrating Peggy’s life at 6 PM. A meal and fellowship will follow in the Hospitality Room of the Dover Geib Center. A private inurnment will take place in St. Joseph’s Calvary Cemetery at Dover at a later date.
