Paul is survived by his wife, Helen “Joan” (Horner) Swaney of the residence; his son, Paul (Emily) Swaney of Dennison; his daughter, Jill Swaney (Paul Hayes) of Tuscarawas; seven grandchildren, Paul “Trey” Swaney III, Chelsey Swaney and her fiancé, Kameron Moran, Lettie Swaney, Alyssa Swaney and her fiancé, Tyler Goshorn, Blayde Swaney, Ean Sanders, Ashlyn Sanders and her fiancé, Kody Wood; three great grandchildren, Kamry Moran, Kaype Swaney, and Krosby Goshorn; his brother, Jeff Swaney of Uhrichsville and his brother-in-law, Chuck Horner. Paul was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of three additional great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by two sons, Brett Swaney and Nick Swaney and two brothers, Norman Swaney and Melvin Swaney.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and a private burial is to take place in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
