Patrick J. Robie, 67, of Loveland, Ohio died unexpectedly, Sunday evening, May 26, 2024 in his home.
Born in Perrysburg, Ohio on April 6, 1957, Patrick was the son of late Joseph and Mary (Sullivan) Robie.
Patrick was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish, but his true passion was birdwatching. You could find him multiple times each year at Magee Marsh, watching birds, especially during the warbler migration.
He also had a love for cooking and music. For many years he ran the MT Cup Café. Patrick enjoyed when customers would come in and ask about his record collection or chat with him over a cup of coffee.
The most important thing in Patrick’s life was his family, whether it was coaching the kids in sports, vacationing in the Outer Banks, or hanging by the pool he was happy knowing he was with those he loved. Patrick will be missed by his children, Caitlin (Tyler) Sekerak of Cincinnati, Ryan Robie of Hopedale, and Timothy Robie of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Maren and Archie Sekerak; sisters, Martha (Bjorn) Thorsrud, and Meg (John) Shiple; brothers, Jason (Tammy Montgomery) Robie, and Michael (Dana) Robie; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, and beloved wife of 33 years, Dr. Maureen May MD.
The family will greet guest on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where a Christian wake service will begin at 7:00 PM. Fr. Jimmy Hatfield will lead a graveside service on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:30 AM in Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Following services, a light reception will be shared in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
