Patricia Downes

Patricia Downes, 75, of New Philadelphia died February 17, 2024 at home after a period of declining health.

Patricia was born February 13, 1949 at Phoenix, Arizona to the late Carl Beamer and Mary Kathleen (Carpenter) Jaehn.

She worked as a lab tech for many years.  She had a love for gardening and caring for flowers.  She was an avid animal lover and always had a dog, cat or bird living with her.

Patricia leaves behind her children, Lisa (Jerry Lilly) Slater of New Philadelphia, Todd (Deanna) Holloway of Roanoke, Virginia, and Leslie (Robert) Matthews of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Krystian (Navey) Edmonds, Lindsey (Justin) Snyder, Kyle (Sarah) Klapper, Todd (Kasey) Holloway II, Kristofer Klapper, Jared Holloway, Kaitlyn (Andrew) Klapper, Donald Slater III, and Noah Matthews; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jenna Slater; sister, Kathy Dulkoski; and three brothers.

Patricia’s cremation has been entrusted to Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1212 Kelly St. NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
