Oliver Dale Warner, 81, of New Philadelphia, OH, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 in Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital at Akron, following a period of declining health.

Dale, as he was fondly known, was born in Rock Hill, SC in 1944 to mother Cora Ethel (Beck), and father Oliver Warner, and was a proud member of the Catawba Indian Nation.

Dale served in the US Air Force, and was a decades-long, hard working machinist in the manufacturing industries within the New Phila region. Additionally, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a man whose faith was extremely important to him. Dale was many things to many people, but will be remembered most for his faith, his incredibly sweet demeanor, as well as his compassion for animals, love of Greece, Yankees baseball, and most of all, his devotion to his family.

Dale was preceded in death by his mother and father, his eldest son Jason Lee Warner, brother-in-law William A. Baumgardner Sr., and great niece Ashlie Baumgardner.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Zoa Jean (Cumblidge) Warner, his youngest son Brian and Daughter-in-Law Bethany (Fields) Warner, as well as sister Cheryl Ann (Warner) Baumgardner, beloved nephews William Arthur (Bonnie Anderson) Baumgardner Jr., Robert Dale (Diane Slusser) Baumgardner, and beloved niece Sheryl Lynn (Richard Allen, Jr.) Weaver and their families.

Dale’s family respects his requests to be cremated, and forgo a public funeral service. Rather, he will live on in our hearts and through our memories. Dale Warner will be always and forever missed, but never ever forgotten.
