Norma Eileen (Geib) Grywalski, born October 16, 1924, the middle daughter of William and Grace Geib, was reunited with her husband George, her parents and sisters and brother-in-law on July 12, 2025. Norma was a 1942 graduate of Dover High School and went on to manage the cafeteria at Timken High School for 25 years. She became known for her peanut butter cookies that sweetened care packages for generations of loved ones thereafter.
Norma was known to be sensible, pragmatic and intelligent. She and George loved to entertain family and friends around their pool and at Lake Mohawk. She will long be remembered for her sweet iced tea and root beer floats. She was an incredible seamstress and knitter. Norma also served in the altar guild at Grace Evangelical Lutheran church for many years and was a member of the Knotters making many quilts providing comfort for others.
Norma spent her later years residing at Park Village Assisted Living. She was thrilled when her younger sister Donna Mae joined her there in 2023. But when Donna Mae passed in Sept 2024, it truly took a toll on Norma, who has been asking to join her parents and sisters ever since.
Norma is survived by her nephew Randy (Sherry) Lemke, and niece Cyndi (Joleen) and their families, and other nieces, nephews. Norma was especially appreciative of Randy and Sherry for all of the love and care they provided in her remaining years, treating her to the occasional "junk food," freshly baked cookies, birthday celebrations, and care for all of her needs. She is also thankful for her many faithful friends and visitors over the years, especially Beverly, Bill and June.
Norma's family would like to thank Park Village and Crossroads Hospice for the special care and comfort provided to Norma.
In accordance with Norma’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. She will be buried alongside her parents and husband in Maple Grove Cemetery at Dover.
Donations may be made in Norma’s memory to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dover or Crossroads Hospice in Uniontown, Ohio.
