Nicholas T. “Nick” Incarnato, 77, of New Philadelphia, passed away on May 7, 2026, at the Truman House following a period of declining health.
Born on July 23, 1948 in Dover, he was the son of the late Nicholas T. and Betty J. (Caswell) Incarnato.
Nick was a proud Quaker, graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1966, where he was the senior quarterback of the football team. There, he also met and fell in love with his high school sweetheart, the former Cheryl L. “Sherry” Airgood whom he wed on February 1, 1969.
He continued his education at University of Mount Union before beginning a successful career in sales. He started at Lauren Manufacturing and later worked for Consolidated Freightways for more than 20 years. He ultimately finished his career at ChemSpec LTD, where he worked for more than 20 years — a job he greatly loved and where he had the privilege of working alongside family members.
Nick was a charmer who loved his family unconditionally. He was also an avid golfer and passionate Ohio sports enthusiast. Locally, his favorite place to eat was Malcuit's Tavern. He enjoyed spending time with friends, whether socializing close to home or traveling together. A longtime member of the Quaker Club, Nick faithfully supported the New Philadelphia Quakers throughout his life. Above all, he was a man of honesty and integrity.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sherry; his daughter, Tiffanie (Jeff) Cook of Delaware, Ohio; son, Nick Incarnato, IV, of Columbus; grandchildren, Grayson Cook, Nicholas Jerger, Sophia Cook, Luca Incarnato and Liliana Incarnato; great-grandchildren, Jaxx Coburn, Jace Coburn, Victoria Coburn and Layla Jerger; sister-in-law, Gena Incarnato of New Philadelphia; siblings, Matt (Linda) Incarnato, Kris (Dave) Moreland, all of New Philadelphia, and Laurie Landis of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in passing by his brother, Mark; and his brother-in-law, Brian Landis.
Visitation will be held at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Tuesday, May 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. Father Jeff Coning will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia on Wednesday, May 13 beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
Memorial contributions in Nick’s memory may be directed to the Quaker Club, Attn: Tom Farbizo, 248 Front Street SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
