Michael R. “Buck” McHale, age 47, of Mineral City, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident. He was enjoying the open road on his way home from giving a check to Coats for Kids.
Born in Union Hospital at Dover, he was the son of Michael W. and Carol S. (Swonger) McHale. He was a proud 1996 graduate of Tusky Valley High School.
Buck has worked as a sales representative for USA Label for multiple years. In his free-time, he loved to be out in nature, especially at his happy place Atwood Lake. When not working he could be found on the open road riding his motorcycle with the Yellow Jackets Motorcycle Club, or smoking meat on his smoker to share with family and friends. He also was raised as a Mason at Caldwell #330 in Bolivar. He also practiced Reiki.
He is survived by his children, Samuel McHale, Daley McHale, and Paxxon McHale; step-sons, Perry Dilley, and Rhett Dilley; parents, Michael W. and Carol McHale; sisters, Erin Cruz, and Megan (Damon) Kendle; nieces and nephews, Kelsey Cruz, Gabriel Cruz, Xander Cruz, Kira McHale, Emily Kendle, Nicole Kendle, and Caitlynn Yerger, aunts, Lois DeMattio, and Marianne Ramey; and numerous friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 3:30 PM in Atwood Lake Park Amphitheater. A Masonic Service will be held at 4:00 PM. Dinner will be served at the Lighthouse Bistro following the service. Please dress casually.
In honoring Buck’s giving spirit, memorial donations in his name may be made to Coats for Kids or Greater Dover-New Philadelphia Food Pantry.
