Megan J. Mazzoleni, 29, of Gnadenhutten, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Dover on July 2, 1997, she was the daughter of Tami (Kail) Polka and Ricky Merritt.

Megan graduated from Indian Valley High School. She was well known at The Skate Place from working there her freshman year. She then began her career as an STNA as a junior in high school. Currently at Schoenbrunn Healthcare where she worked for over 10 years. In her free-time, she loved photography, traveling especially to Disney, taking her kids to do fun things and rescuing animals.

Megan’s children and family were most important to her. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Brian whom she married on July 2, 2021; her children, Aubrey, Asher, and Carson; step-children, Ryleigh and Emilynn; mother, Tami (Thad) Polka; father, Ricky Merritt; grandmother, LuAnn Kail; uncle, Ronald (Cherie) Kail; aunt, Catherine Kail; mother-in-law, Tina Mazzoleni; father-in-law, Rich (Cindy Anderegg) Mazzoleni; brother-in-law, Austin Mazzoleni; and many cousins, friends and extended family members.

Megan was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronald Kail, Sr; and great-grandparents.

In keeping with her wish’s cremation care has been entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Crematory. No services are planned at this time.
