Mark Alan Bargar, 30, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, in Navarre, Ohio.

Born on December 1, 1995, in Dover, Ohio, Mark was the beloved son of John Ray Bargar of Uhrichsville and Lori Dee McWilliams of New Philadelphia.

Mark was a graduate of Quaker Digital Academy. He began his career with Walmart before joining Greif in Massillon, where he faithfully worked for the past six years in the Waste Management Department. He was a dedicated employee who took pride in his work and was respected by his coworkers.

Mark had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found peace while hiking through the woods and kayaking. He was an avid reader with a passion for history and spent much of his free time studying a variety of religions. He enjoyed playing video games, living a healthy lifestyle, and treasured the companionship of his beloved cat. Above all, Mark loved his family. He was known for checking in on those he cared about and cherished spending time with his cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his brother, John (Becky) Bargar II of Bolivar; his sister, Jennifer Bargar of Uhrichsville; his brother, James "Junior" Long of New Philadelphia; his sister, Shannon Long of Massillon; and his brother, Ronald Long of New Philadelphia. He is also survived by his grandmother, Dorothy Bargar of Uhrichsville; his aunt, Rhonda McWilliams of Dover; his uncle, Shawn (Jessica) Hughes of Dover; his aunt, Diana (Gary) Stewart of New Philadelphia; his aunt, Bettie (Chuck) Felger of Port Washington; his aunt, Louise (Steve) Czatt of Columbus; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Mary McWilliams; his paternal grandfather, Charles Bargar Sr.; and his uncle, Charles Bargar Jr.

Family and friends are invited to honor Mark's life during a public visitation on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia.

Cremation has been entrusted to Geib's Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.

Mark's kindness, quiet strength, love of learning, and devotion to his family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
