Marcia Beavers

Marcia Ann Beavers, 84, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, August 27, 2026, in Amberwood Manor under the care of Ohio’s Hospice following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Robert L. and Margret M. (Stropky) Snyder, Marcia was born January 10, 1942, at Dover, Ohio.

Marcia was a member of the 1960 graduating class at New Philadelphia High School. On January 25, 1969, Marcia married the love of her life, Raymond Beavers. Together the couple raised three daughters, Valerie, Sheila and Amy.

Early in her career she was employed at Union Camp as a secretary. However, her greatest accomplishment in life was serving as a homemaker for her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia.

Marcia was known for her bright smile and sense of humor. In her free-time she enjoyed word searches, playing with cats, playing Scrabble with her best friend, Ruthie Fantin, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Valerie (David Edwards) Milburn of Uhrichsville, Sheila Heightland of Uhrichsville and Amy (Scott Kaser) Beavers of New Philadelphia; her identical twin grandsons, Ethan and Evan Jackson of Uhrichsville; granddaughter, Elyiah Heightland of Uhrichsville; bonus grandson, Laden Edwards of Uhrichsville; son-in-law, Kirt Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Beavers; and brothers, Robert E. and Gary Snyder.

In keeping with Marcia’s wishes cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with private family services being held.
