Lynn E. Reichman

Lynn E. Reichman, 83, of New Philadelphia, passed away on June 3, 2024, at Ohio's LifeCare Hospice - Truman House at New Philadelphia, following a sudden illness.

Born at Uhrichsville, Lynn was the son of the late Elmer and Betty (Stull) Reichman and had graduated from the former Tuscarawas Warwick High School at Tuscarawas. He embarked on a career at the former Reeves Steel in Dover, where he worked as an overhead crane operator. Lynn's dedication and strong work ethic would show through in all his endeavors.

Apart from his work career, Lynn found joy in volunteering and giving back to his community. He devoted countless years of his life to the Moravian Church Camp at Tar Hollow and remained a steadfast member of the Sharon Moravian Church in Tuscarawas. His commitment to serving others was unparalleled.

Described as ornery yet full of humor, Lynn had a knack for lightening the mood with his jokes and playful banter. His warm personality endeared him to many, and his presence brightened every room he entered. As a member of the Sharon Moravian Church DartBall Team, Lynn shared camaraderie and friendly competition with his fellow teammates for over 40 years.

Outside of his work and volunteer commitments, Lynn indulged in his love for the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed being outside in nature and pursuing his hobbies. Additionally, Lynn dedicated himself to volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America and proudly served with the Tuscarawas Warwick Volunteer Fire Department for over 28 years. He also loved woodworking and could often be found selling the crafts that he made at the Atwood Fall Festival.

On May 5, 1963, Lynn married Jane Ann Zorn and together they were blessed with the birth of their son, Lynn Charles “Charlie” Reichman, who survives. In addition to their son, Lynn is survived by two brothers, Calvin Reichman and his wife Cheryl Krantz and Joe and Jan Reichman of Tuscarawas; two nieces that were also his caregivers, Anna (Brent) Cross and JoAnn (Seth) Garabrandt and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and in-laws.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Jane Ann, Lynn was also preceded in death by a brother, James Reichman.
