Louise Ann Fouts

Louise Ann Fouts, 86, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 in Hennis Care Center at Dover following her lengthy fight with Alzheimer’s.

Born in Newport, Ohio, Louise was the daughter of the late Clyde and Leona Mary (Bennington) Ridgeway and was a 1955 graduate of the former Uhrichsville High School at Uhrichsville. On November 28, 1965, Louise married Clyde C. Fouts, who survives, and together they shared over 58 years of marriage until her passing. Louise is also survived by her daughter, Taffy Fouts of New Philadelphia and Taffy’s close friend that she also considered like her daughter, Jerri Meek of Syracuse, Ohio.

Family was everything to Louise, she was an outstanding cook and would always be looking for ways that she could help or take care of her family. She would always find the time to do whatever was needed.

In addition to her parents, a number of family members preceded Louise in death. These include four sisters, Bernice Cox, Ruth Morton, Leverda Starkey and Rosemary Page-Gutensohn; her brother, Raymond Ridgeway; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Lena Fouts and three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank and Norma Fouts, John and Maxine Fouts and Joe and Peg Fouts.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia and a private burial will take place in Dover Burial Park at a later date.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Hennis Care Centre at Dover for their care and compassion shown to the entire family during the time that Louise was a resident.
