Lorrie B. Knotts

Lorrie Beth Knotts, 65, of Sugarcreek, passed away in the Community Hospice Truman House on December 1, 2023.

Born September 18, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Robert Dean and Doris E. (Hawk) Harstine and a graduate of Newcomerstown High School. Lorrie had the bold heart of a hard worker who enjoyed gardening and time outdoors, but much of the time you could find her in the kitchen tackling a new recipe. Cooking was he love language and family was her world. In alignment for her passion for cooking, Lorrie held positions at multiple local restaurant kitchens throughout her working career within the service industry.

Lorrie is survived by her two daughters, Camille (Ken) Kinkade of New Philadelphia and Lydia (Hunter) Hostetler of Sugarcreek; her four granddaughters, Lila, Stella, Cecilia and Raeya; two sisters, Christine (Nick) Graor of Brecksville and Linda (Terry) Saylor of Canton; two brothers, Steven Harstine of West Lafayette and Rob Harstine of Dover and numerous nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lorrie was also preceded in death by her son, Jacob Shook, in June of 2006; her sister-in-law, Jane Harstine in September 2012 and nephew, Zachary Saylor in April of 2021.

In keeping with her wishes, a private family graveside service will be held in Union Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Calkins officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor her wonderful life.

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Community Hospice, Truman House, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.

The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia has been entrusted with Lorrie’s service arrangements.
