Linda Burlingame

Linda D. (Janson) Burlingame, 79, of Dover, died Saturday, August 29, 2026 in Hennis Care Center at Dover.

Born May 17, 1947 in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Herman J. and Betty J. (Clauss) Janson.

After graduating from Glenwood High School, she married Gary L. Burlingame on October 23, 1965.

Linda worked as the secretary for Gary’s business, Stark Cable, and retired from the United States Postal Service in Bolivar. She was very fond of all animals.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Lori (Doug) Swihart; her son, Dana Burlingame, both of Dover; grandchildren, Amanda (Tanner) Guy, Zach (Heather) Swihart, Téa Burlingame, Dalton (Ellie Miller) Burlingame, and Briar (Claudia) Burlingame; and her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Hunter, Easton, and Eulalia; and her brother, Dennis (Ann) Janson.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Burlingame on November 29, 2018.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. Her family would also like to thank Care Team Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Linda in her final days.
