Lewis E Bigler

Lewis E. Bigler, 94, passed away on September 24, 2026, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover following a brief illness.

Born November 3, 1931, in New Philadelphia, Lewis was the son of the late Wilfred Bigler and Anna E. (Hart) Bigler. He was a 1950 graduate of Uhrichsville High School.

Lewis worked as a machinist and later in management with Gradall, retiring in 1992. He also proudly served in the United States Army Reserve from 1951 until his retirement in 1991, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Lewis was a member of the Community of Christ Church in New Philadelphia, where he also served as a priest.

He is survived by his children, Cheri (Bob Petitte) Tarulli of New Philadelphia, William (Tonya) Bigler of Sherrodsville, and Traci (Scott) Kinsey of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Jayne Jeramaz of Los Angeles; and his niece and nephew, Paul and Karen Jeramaz.

In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Bigler; brother, Glenn Bigler; and brother-in-law, John Jeramaz.
