LesLee Adair Metcalf, age 52, of Dover, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and those closest to her.

LesLee was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and so much more to the many people blessed to know her. She had a fun-loving spirit, a personality that could light up a room, and a laugh that was impossible to forget. Above all else, LesLee loved her family and treasured the time she spent making memories with them.

Some of her happiest moments were spent camping and enjoying time at the family farm with her grandsons, Kail, Kayson, and Kayne. She adored her granddaughter, Raelynn, lovingly known as “RaeRae,” and especially enjoyed shopping for her and spending time playing with her. LesLee also had a special place in her heart for her beloved cats, Finn and Phoebe, who she loved with all her heart.

LesLee spent many years working at Amberwood Manor, where she cared for and connected with those around her. She was eventually forced to step away from her work as she underwent treatment for breast cancer.

For the past four years, LesLee courageously battled breast cancer. She fought with incredible strength and determination until the very end. Through every challenge, she remained a warrior and an inspiration to everyone who witnessed her journey. Her courage, strength, and love will continue to live on in the people she touched.

During the final year and a half of LesLee’s journey, her sister Jamie was by her side every step of the way. She became LesLee’s caregiver, companion, advocate, and constant source of comfort—taking her to countless appointments, helping manage her medications, caring for her day and night, and making sure she was never alone. Jamie gave her time, her strength, and her heart so that LesLee’s journey could be as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Their bond as sisters was a beautiful testament to the meaning of family and unconditional love. LesLee was blessed to have Jamie beside her, and Jamie was blessed to have the opportunity to care for her sister until the very end.

One of LesLee’s greatest blessings was her lifelong friendship with Robin Gollehan. From childhood through every season of life, Robin remained by LesLee’s side, and especially throughout her four-year cancer journey. She was not simply a best friend, but a sister in every way that mattered—a constant source of love, strength, and support, and an absolute rock when LesLee needed her most. Their friendship was a gift that will never be forgotten.

LesLee is survived by her two sons, Zack Marshall (Brea) of Dennison and Scott Marshall of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Kail Marshall of West Virginia, Kayson Marshall and Kayne Marshall of Dennison, and Raelynn “RaeRae” Marshall of Uhrichsville; her sisters, Kimberly (Jamie) Morgan of Indiana and Jamie (Brian) Sealock of New Philadelphia; her mother, Kim (Ray) Sherrell of New Philadelphia; and her father, Jim (Paula) Metcalf of Port Washington.

She is also survived by her nieces, Katie Morgan of Indiana, Cheyenne Lippencott of Port Washington, Brittany Morrill of Florida, Madeleine (Jordan) Norris of California, and Jahzara Sherrell of New Philadelphia; her nephews, Warren(Julie) Lippencott of Stonecreek, Jeffrey Newton of Minerva, River Sealock of Colorado, Linkon Sealock of New Philadelphia, and Cole (Summer) Sealock of Dover; as well as many aunts, uncles, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss her deeply.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that LesLee is now reunited in Heaven with those who went before her, including her beloved Meme and Papa, Francis and William Carpenter; her Grandpa, Jim Metcalf; her beloved sister, Makaya Sherrell; her stepsister, Jessica Newton of Dover; Rev. Willie(Sene) Sherrell; her Granny, Joan Walters; her Nana, DiAnne (Benjamin) Reece; and the love of her life for the past 12 years, Kevin Kemphfer.

LesLee leaves behind a lifetime of memories, countless stories, an unforgettable laugh, and a love that will continue through the family and friends she cherished so deeply. Her battle may be over, but her strength and spirit will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.

She fought until the very end. She was, and always will be, a warrior.

Rest peacefully, LesLee. You were deeply loved, and you will be deeply missed
