Kathy Trammell

Kathy Jayne Trammell, age 81, of New Philadelphia, passed away, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Amberwood Manor at New Philadelphia after a period of declining health.

She was born October 24, 1942, in Dennison, Ohio.

Kathy was a loving mother and grandmother.  Her life revolved around her family.  Her family always enjoyed her cooking and considered her a professional meatloaf chef.  She was also gifted at sewing.  She was well known for sewing Barbie clothes.  Kathy retired from Rich Industries in 2006 after 25 years of service.

Kathy is survived by her children, Wanda (Lon) McEnroe of New Philadelphia, and Scott (Leann) Trammell of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ashley (fiancé – William Sprayberry) Trammell, and Josh Trammell; and companion of 47 years, Don Kinsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Hazel Hite; brother, Wesley “Bud” Hite, Jr.; and grandson, Trevor Trammell.

The family will greet guests, on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia.   Pastors Larry and Ruthie Fletcher will lead a service celebrating Kathy’s life on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
