Kathleen Agar Cardani

Kathleen Agar Cardani, age 74, passed away on January 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was a longtime resident of New Philadelphia.

Born in Barnesville, Ohio on March 29, 1951, she was a daughter of the late George Richard “Dick” and Josephine “Jo” Frances (Costa) Agar.

Kathy was a woman of unwavering faith, known for her strength, resilience, and quiet determination. She led by example, instilling in her children the importance of hard work through the life she lived each day. Dedicated to providing for her family, Kathy spent many years in management at Sears before later retiring as a State Farm Insurance Agent.

She took great pleasure in baking and cooking for those she loved, caring for her gardens, watching birds, and enjoying time outdoors. Kathy also loved playing cards and watching sports. Her faith remained at the center of her life, and she found comfort and encouragement in reading Scripture and listening to Christian music.

She is survived by her children, Dave (Kris) Cardani, Paul Cardani, and Camille (Josh) Brader; her grandchildren, Grace (Mazen) Diab, Emilee (Ryan Berger) Cardani, Sara Cardani, Bella Brader, Joey Brader, Rocco Brader, Carlie (Dakota) Postlehwait, and Zoe Cardani; her great-grandchild, Charli Berger; and her siblings, Rose (Dennis) Lamb and Dave (Linda) Agar; nieces and nephews; and partner, Pat King.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
