Katherine Lucille Gintz

Katherine Lucille Gintz, age 68, of New Philadelphia died early, Friday, January 19, 2024, in Amberwood Manor at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

Born in Union Hospital at Dover on May 16, 1955, Katherine was a daughter of Marilyn Y. Heter Otte of New Philadelphia and the late Donald D. Gintz, Sr. 

She was a graduate of Indian Valley North High School and enjoyed various careers as a babysitter, nurse's aide, and waitress.

Kathy enjoyed the outdoors and spending time camping, and fishing. She also greatly enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Kathy will be missed by her son, Todd (Alyssa) Gintz of Dover; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Donald (Darlene) Gintz, Lori Maxwell, Deborah Frizzell, and Kate Martin; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Kathy was preceded in death by a daughter, Mickelle Gintz Bivens; and siblings, William Maxwell, Jr., and Peggy Barron.

In keeping with Kathy's wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.
