June Maxine Pool, age 94, of Uhrichsville, passed away peacefully in Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center on July 28, 2026, following a period of declining health.

Born December 31, 1931, in Uhrichsville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John Raymond and Charlotte Marie (Jones) Stull.

On January 19, 1951, in First Christian Church at Uhrichsville, June married her lifelong companion and friend, Verlin Maderia “Bud” Pool. Together, the couple celebrated 63 years of marriage prior to his passing on June 12, 2014.

In 1988, June began serving as the Clerk for Warwick Township, a position she held faithfully until her retirement in 2014, after 26 years of dedicated service.

Outside of work, June found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved crocheting and sewing, and music was always close to her heart. Whether listening to country music, especially her all-time favorite, Vince Gill, the laid-back tunes of Jimmy Buffett, or enjoying local favorites like Rolando and Saxy Rob, she found happiness in music.

June also had a love for travel, especially the trips she made to Tennessee to visit her daughters. No journey was complete without a stop in Nashville. Beach vacations were among her greatest pleasures, where she enjoyed walking the shoreline in search of seashells and creating treasured memories with her family. Closer to home, she cherished outings with her daughter Charlene and her friends and relaxing drives around Atwood Lake, finding joy in every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. Among her other pleasures in life was being a part of the Tuscarawas County Fair for nearly three decades, as she and Charlene helped in the Fine Arts Building annually.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Charlene (Bob Farnswoth) Kehl of Newcomerstown, Peggy (Jim) Hough of Thompsons Station, Tennessee, and Dawna (Tommy) Parsley of Nolensville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Emmylou (Tyler) Frost, Trey (Sarah) Parsley and Joshua (Claire) Parsley Michael (Julie) Kehl, Craig (Heather) Stein, and Susan Mitchel; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Ethan, Elizabeth, Amelia, Mitchell (Ashley), Shannon, Jacob, Erica, Megan, and Paige; great-great-grandchildren, Grant, Lane, and Colt.

Completing the family are a brother, Jack (Judy) Stull; sisters-in-law, Ruth McCloskey, Fern (Emilio) Poli , Karen Link, Bonnie (Fred) Strayer, and Rudy Pool, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Preston; a son-in-law, Donny Kehl, her grandchildren, Stacie Stein and Christopher Kehl, and brothers-in-law, Tom McCloskey, Burt Link, and Ross Pool.

The family will greet guests on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 11 AM – 1 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Pastor Jim Shamel will lead June’s service at 1 PM. Burial alongside her husband will follow in the Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville. Following the burial service, all are invited to gather for a time of food and fellowship in the Streetside Center, adjacent to the Dennison Depot.
