John Charles Spring

John Charles Spring, 84, of Dover, died unexpectedly on Sept. 4,2023 at Akron General Hospital. Born July 7,1939 in Martins Ferry, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ardella Spring.

John graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1957 and following his graduation, served 4 years in the US Army and then worked for the Tuscarawas County Road Dept.

Many that knew John knew his biggest passion was his love of sports. He enjoyed watching the

Cleveland Browns, OSU, and the Dover Tornados football. As well as basketball, baseball, and golf.

John is survived by his daughter Stacy, grandson Jeremy, brother Paul and nephew David and his wife

Carrie. Also, the many friends he had over the years.

No service will be offered, per John’s request. The Geib Funeral Center at Dover has been entrusted with his care.
