John “Jack” Ren, Sr.

John “Jack” Ren, Sr., 76 of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in the care of Community Hospice.

A son of the late Anthony and Esther (Dillon) Ren, Jack was born August, 29, 1940 in Roswell, OH.

Jack enjoyed watching stock car and motorcycle races.  He also enjoyed gambling and talking on the CB radio where he was known as, “Hobo.”  Jack’s biggest joy in life was his family, whom he loved spending time with.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (Musick) Ren; two sons, John (Connie) Ren, Jr. and Alan (Becky) Ren; three grandchildren, Lexie Kilgore and Carlos and Blaze Hernandez as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ren.

In keeping with Jack’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services and cremation care will be handled through the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
