John E. Leggett

John E. Leggett, 79, of New Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Aultman Hospital in Canton following a brief illness.A son of the late John J. and Ada Archinal Leggett, John was born April 21, 1926, in New Philadelphia.He was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and was retired from U. S.Ceramic Tile, in East Sparta where he had been employed as a Laboratory Technician.John was a Christian and a member of the Roxford United Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Phyllis J. Warner Leggett, whom he married in 1950; and brothers, Robert Leggett, of Bolivar, Joe, Walter and Don Leggett, all of New Philadelphia and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Vandevort and a brother Gary Leggett.Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia with Rev. William Johnson officiating. Friends and family are invited to visit from 10:00 am till 11:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in East Avenue Cemetery, in New Philadelphia. A reception will be held in the Geib Family Center following the committal.
