Joann Lindimore

N. Joann Lindimore, age 88, of New Philadelphia went to be with her Lord and Savior, early Monday, July 1, 2024, while in the care of Ohio’s Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia. She is now reunited with her husband of 71 years, Ray Lindimore, who preceded her in death on May 3, 2024. 

Born on July 19, 1935 in Morgan County, Ohio Joann was a daughter of the late Charles and Opal (Moore) Hall. 

She was a 1953 graduate of McConnellsville High School and on May 1, 1953, Joann married Ray Lindimore. Together the couple enjoyed raising their family, traveling in their RV as past members of the Buckeye Bacon Burners and serving the Lord in various capacities as members of First Christian Church at New Philadelphia since 1960.  

Joann loved babysitting, being with her family, holiday gatherings, being with her church friends, attending the Christian Builders Sunday School class and going on outings with her ladies group, Friends-To-Go. 

She will be deeply missed by her family that includes their children, Connie Ferrell, Terry (Sherry Woods) Lindimore, Rhonda Whitman all of New Philadelphia, and Chuck (Terrie) Lindimore of Canton; four grandchildren, David Greco, Julie Cox, Daniel Lindimore, and Bryan (Miranda) Lindimore. Completing the family are numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Joann was preceded in death by a grandson, James Ferrell, II and a brother, Dale Hall. 

The family will greet guests on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Jim Borton will lead a service celebrating Joann’s life on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow in the Dover Burial Park.
