James Stanley

James “Stan” Stanley, age 76, died peacefully, Thursday, March 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

 Born on July 23, 1947, in Alliance, Ohio, Jim was a son of the late Russell and Dolores (Palermo) Stanley.

 After graduating from high school, Jim served in the US Army.  He was very proud of his service to the country.  He was known as a jack of all trades.  He was an over the road truck driver for many years and a gifted mechanic.   In his younger years he built his own plane.

Jim will be deeply missed by his family including his wife, Darlene (Kohl) Stanley, whom he married on April 28, 1972; his daughters, Carrie Stanley (Tim Lillibridge, son-in-law) of West Lafayette, and Brenda Shepherd of West Lafayette; grandchildren, Celcie Stanley, Andre Stanley, Austin Conger, and Kayla Kobel; great grandchildren, Raelynn, Lillian, Auna, Zander, Zaeden, Averlynn, Areena, Tayson, and Branson; and sister, Janeen Crubaugh. 
 
 In keeping with Jim’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling cremation care.

 As his family says, “Rest Well Old Man.”
