James W. “Schaubie” Schaub, age 74, of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Aultman Hospital at Canton, after a brief illness.

Jim was born in Aultman Hospital on September 21, 1951, to John and Mary Schaub.

He graduated from Louisville High School in 1969 and shortly after joined the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he spent the majority of his professional career in the wholesale food industry, retiring from the former Flemming Foods as a Salesman.

Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughter and grandchildren, working in his yard, and in his younger years enjoyed league bowling.

Jim is survived by his wife, Cindy Sutton-Schaub; daughter, Jill (Tracey) Page; and grandchildren, Kierstin and Carson.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Bolgiano.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, there will be no public services. Burial at a later date will take place in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at Rittman, Ohio. The Geib Funeral Center at Dover is handling cremation care.
