Jack Haakinson

Jack Haakinson, 61, of New Philadelphia passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 in his residence at New Philadelphia.

A son of the late William and Kathryn (Kopp) Haakinson, Jack was born March 9, 1956 at Dover, Ohio.

Jack retired from Timken as a machinist after many years of work. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons.

Jack is survived by his wife, Beckie Haakinson, whom he married April 22, 1978; two children, Nicole (Matt) Host and James Haakinson; a grandson, Maximus Host; two siblings, Pat (Hal) Alles and William Haakinson as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Jack is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, RoAnn Haakinson.

In keeping with Jack’s wishes there will be no public calling hours or services and cremation care will be handled through the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory.
