Isaac Stokey

Isaac Matthew Stokey, age 20, of Tuscarawas, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Born on February 10, 2003, in Union Hospital at Dover.   Isaac was a son of Chad and Heather (Waters) Stokey.

He was a 2022 graduate of Buckeye Career Center.  He had studied in the Electrical Technology Department.  He was employed by OWS as a pumper in the oil fields.

Isaac was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and golf.  He was known by all as a loyal friend.  He was also known to make people laugh and cry with his sarcastic sense of humor.  Isaac was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.  He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in New Philadelphia.

Isaac is survived by his parents, Chad and Heather Stokey; brothers, Tre, Kaleb, Aidan and Lucas Stokey; fiancé, Lexi Lute; grandparents, Tom and Twila Waters; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joann Ross; grandfather, Darrell Stokey; and cousin, Spencer Stokey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 15, from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.  A funeral service celebrating Isaac’s life will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Dr. John Center officiating.  Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover.

Contributions in Isaac’s memory can be made in his name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
