Helen Hahn

Helen Hahn, age 104, of Dover and formerly of Waynesburg, passed away peacefully, on Friday, October 27, 2023, at The Inn of Northwood Village at Dover.

She was born October 16, 1919, in Canton, Ohio. Helen was the daughter of the late Dan and Mildred (Perich) Trbovich. She was raised on a family farm in Waynesburg but lived in New Philadelphia for nearly 70 years.

Family has always been the most important part of her life.  After moving to New Philadelphia, she kept in contact with all her family who still lived in Waynesburg.  When the family gathered, they often conversed in her parents’ native tongue, Serbian.  She was also a gifted baker and is remembered for her chocolate cake and peanut butter fudge.

When Helen was not taking care of her family she was traveling around Ohio and Pennsylvania attending polka dances.  She actively danced polka until she was 98 years old.

Helen is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kay Bosh; grandchildren, Lou (Jill) Bosh, Joe Bosh, Danette (Amos Alexander) Bosh Alexander, and Nick Bosh; great-grandchildren, Ted (Jessica) Lund, Jr., Jack Lund, Kate Lund, Kayla Bosh, and Brendan Bosh; great-great-grandchildren, Quinn Lund and Axton Lund; and sister, Amelia Sickafoose; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dan Bosh; first husband, Lou Bosh; second husband, Joe Hahn; great-grandson, Daniel Joseph Bosh; sisters, Anna Marino, and Dorothy Maxwell; and brothers, George Trbovich, Nick Trbovich, Oscar Trbovich, and Sam Trbovich.
