George Harvey Smith

George Harvey Smith, 61, of Dover, died Monday, October 3, 2005 at his residence following a brief illness.A son of the late Troy Smith and Helen Smith, of Strasburg, George was born March 19, 1944 in Beach City, OhioHe was employed by Kenmore Construction in Akron, Ohio. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on his mini farm. George was Lutheran by faith.He is survived by his wife, Kelly Rae Cecil Smith, whom he married April 13, 2002; his mother, Helen Smith; a son, Curt Troy Smith, of Beach City; step-sons, Joshua Michael Miller, of Florida and Jason Kelly (Nicole) Miller, of Sugarcreek; a grandson, Timothy Hayden Miller, of Sugarcreek; a brother, Eugene (Ann) Smith, of Strasburg; uncles, aunts, cousins, and many good friends.He was preceded in death by his father; daughters, Christi Melissa Smith and Helena Smith; and a brother, Louis “Louie” Smith. At George’s request there are no calling hours or services, and he will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
