Frederick E. Treaster, age 90, of Dover, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026 at Hennis Care Center of Bolivar after a period of declining health.

Fred was born on March 7, 1936, and grew up in Hannibal, Missouri. He graduated from Hannibal High School. He served in the US Navy Reserves. He had a career as an account executive for The First National Bank of Cincinnati before retiring.

Fred was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, and he was an amateur taxidermist. He also loved to travel with a strong affection for the Northeast and its great seafood.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean Treaster, whom he married on May 27, 1976; and his 3 children, David Treaster of Jacksonville, Florida, Gina Treaster of Fort Worth, Texas, and Daniel (Cindy) Treaster of Noblesville, Indiana; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Fred’s wishes, a private memorial is planned for a future date, and cremation care has been entrusted to Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory.
