Ernest "Ernie" Ray
Jamerson, Jr.
October 6, 1979 – April 11, 2026
Ernest Ray Jamerson, Jr., 46, of Uhrichsville, passed away on April 11, 2026, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Hollywood, Florida, on October 6, 1979, he was the son of Karen Sue Golec and the late Ernest Ray Jamerson, Sr.
Ernie was a proud graduate of Claymont High School and dedicated 25 years of service to Nichols Bakery, where he worked as a corporate sanitarian. Known for his sharp mind, he had a natural talent for math and problem-solving.
Ernie was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved collecting old toys, especially Transformers, and enjoyed watching wrestling. He was also a passionate food lover and an exceptional grill master, cook, and baker. Ernie was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and played fantasy football. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his beloved wife, Jackie, shopping at Costco where they shared hot dogs together.
Ernie met his soulmate and best friend, the former Jacqueline “Jackie” G. Herda, on Tinder. Their love story was one of laughter and deep companionship. At his request, they were married on January 30, 2026, in their pajamas—a moment that perfectly reflected his warmth and sense of humor. They were also the first couple to file for a marriage license at the courthouse in 2026.
In addition to his loving wife, Ernie is survived by his sons, Anthony “Taylor” and Tyler Jamerson; his bonus children, Isaac and Izzy Kohler; his mother, Karen Sue Golec; and his brother, Richard Jamerson.
