Erwin Weselek

Erwin James Weselek, Jr., age 77, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in his home after a period of declining health.

Born in Bedford Heights, Ohio on April 29, 1945 he was the son of the late Erwin and Erma (Thompson) Weselek.

On August 27, 1966 he married Judith Renicker and they enjoyed 56 years together.  He spent his career as a truck driver.  He also enjoyed watching Cleveland sports, cheering on the Browns and Indians.

Erwin is survived by his wife Judith; children, James (Melissa) Weselek of Oklahoma, Catherine (Larry, Jr.) Green of Stone Creek, and Christopher (Stephanie) Weselek of Maryland; grandchildren, Haydn, Heath, Devon, Olivia, Nicholas, Madison, Savanna, Peyton and Keaton; great-granddaughter, Melody; and sisters, Ann Johnston, and Pat (Jesse)Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Irma Mason and Betty Walker.

In keeping with Erwin’s wishes, cremation care will take place through the care of Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory.  A private family graveside service will take place at a later time.
