Donnas Moss Coulter

Donnas Moss Coulter, age 103, of New Philadelphia, went to sleep with the angels, on Thursday, September 3, 2026 in her home.

Born July 12, 1923 in Ivydale, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Hollie and Arminda (Coen) Moss.

Donnas graduated from Sherrodsville High School as the class Valedictorian. During World War II she worked 2 years at Goodyear Aircraft, serving as one of the “Rosie the Riveters”. On September 30, 1944 she married Russell Coulter and together they enjoyed 62 years of marriage before his passing in April of 2007.

Together with Russell she founded Coulter’s Dog and Hunting Supply in New Philadelphia. They were proud that it remained a family owned and operated business in our community for 53 years.

Donnas was a devoted and attentive wife, mother, and grandmother. Together, they traveled both internationally and nationally and spent many winters in Florida. She never missed an opportunity to spend quality time with her grandchildren. Many cherished memories were made camping at Leesville Lake. Donnas was an active member of the Tuscarawas County Senior Center. She was a regular for lunch and their many activities.

Together with Russell, she raised her children including, Carol (Michael) Stephens of New Philadelphia, Linda Coulter Davis of Dover, Martha Hopkins Paulun of Gnadenhutten, Larry (Dianne) Coulter of Dover and Jerry (Cynthia) Coulter of Sherrodsville; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sons-in-law, Don Davis, and Roger (Lee) Paulun; sisters; and brothers.

The family will greet guest on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in The First United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia. A service honoring Donnas’ life will be led by Rev.
