Donald R. Swank

Donald R. Swank, 81, of New Philadelphia, a beloved family man, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025.

Born on December 25, 1943, at Zoar, he was the son of the late Charles and Emma (Rothacher) Swank and had retired from the former Morgantown Machine at New Philadelphia, where he worked in maintenance.

Outside of his work, Donald cherished being at home and spending time with his family. In addition to being a family man, Donald found joy in playing cards and was proud to be a former member of the Bolivar Jass Club. These activities brought camaraderie and laughter into his life.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy J. (Kohler) Swank, two sons, and four grandsons.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a daughter.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and a private burial will take place at a later date.
