Diane Destefani, age 79, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, June 16, 2026, while in the care of Ohio’s Hospice in Park Village Nursing Home at Dover.

Born in Dover, Ohio on April 12, 1947, Diane was a daughter of the late Frank E. and Martha L. (Schmitt) Destefani.

Diane was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and spent many years as a bookkeeper for Midway Lumber Company.

Diane was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and sharing family stories.

Surviving her are numerous cousins.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanne Destefani, and brother, Frank Destefani, Jr.

The family will greet guests from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church on Friday, June 19, 2026, where Fr. Jeff Coning will lead a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
