Dennis Sweitzer

Dennis Paul Sweitzer, 76, of Port Washington and formerly of Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 19, 2026 following a battle with cancer.

Born in Akron on March 21, 1950, he was the son of the late Jared and Peggy (Watts) Sweitzer.

Dennis loved to cook, was an exceptional golfer, and found great joy in fishing. Nothing brought him more happiness than the time he spent with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren, who were truly the light of his life.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Lori (Steve) Parrino, Susie (Addam) Botkin, Sarah Sweitzer, and Amy Nobil; his grandchildren, Haley, Jack, Enzo, Eli, Jake and Josie; his great-granddaughter, Giavanna; his sister, Linda Garretson; his niece, Jamie; his great-niece, Katelin; and his great-great-niece, Ellie. He also leaves behind cherished friends, Robert (Anita) Hubbard, Preston Cunningham, and Earl (Nancy) Brown.

No public services or visitation are scheduled.
