David L. Boyer

David L. Boyer, 59, of New Philadelphia, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020.

Born in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Dormal and Ruby (Snyder) Boyer and a 1979 graduate of Jewett-Scio High School at Scio. David served his country honorably with the United States Army and had retired from the former Con-Way Transportation, now, XPO Logistics at Uhrichsville, where he worked as a truck driver.

He was a member of the New Connection Worship Center at Lancaster and an avid fisherman who would frequent many of the local lakes. Most of all, he loved being a grandpa and spending time with his five grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Gina H. (Miller) Boyer whom he married June 19, 1996; a daughter, Ashley “Nikkie” Boyer of Bolivar and a son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Mary Boyer of Jewett; five grandchildren, Harley, Jorden, Faith, Bronsyn and Bensyn; his eight brothers and sisters and his in-laws that considered him as a brother.

In addition to his parents, a brother and a sister are also deceased.

In keeping with David’s wishes, he is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia and no public services are to be conducted.
