Dale Eugene Baker, age 75, of Dover, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, while under the care of Wellspring Hospice at Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation in Massillon.

Born in Union Hospital at Dover on April 6, 1950, Dale was a son of the late Arletus Stanley and Marjorie May Marsh Baker.

Dale was a 1968 graduate of Dover High School and quickly began a career as an auto body technician with Paul’s Body Shop at Dover. However, shortly after he began his career, he received his draft notice to the United States Army. He faithfully served his country in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1972. Upon his return, Dale returned to the body shop where he continued his 40-year career.

Dale was an office volunteer for NewPointe Community Church and a longtime member of the Dover First United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his garage. Most of all, Dale loved being with his family and friends, and especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Michelle McAdams Baker, whom he married on June 29, 1974, their daughters, Mandy (Bill) Conner of New Philadelphia and Jenn Baker of Dover; his siblings, Linda Stalder, Barb Beal both of Arizona, Jeannie (Tim) Poorman of Delaware, Ohio, and Gary (Carol) Baker of New Philadelphia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.

In honoring his wishes, there will be no public services. The Geib Funeral Center at Dover is handling cremation care.
