Curtis W. "Curt" Ritenour

Curtis W. “Curt” Ritenour, 64, of Navarre, passed away unexpectedly, in his home on January 26, 2024.

Born in Dover, Curt was the son of the late Clell and Edith (Huffman) Ritenour and was a graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School. He was employed for over 30 years as a Maintenance Mechanic for Malco Products, Inc. of Barberton.

Early in his life, Curt competed in Trap Shooting competitions and fishing in Bass Tournaments.

He would often be found hunting with his beagles, fishing or skeet shooting at Sportsman’s Shooting Center and working on his skills for the Ohio Skeet Shooting Association competitions in which he would compete.

Together with his wife, they owned and operated Expressions Design Studio of Massillon and he was one that always took a hands-on approach in renovations of each of their locations. He also had a special way with and caring for animals . He could often be found taking his hunting beagles through McDonalds for a burger after a day of rabbit hunting. Curt loved being outdoors and until his health prevented him from doing so.

On November 5, 1983, Curt married Diane K. (Reicosky) Ritenour and with whom he recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. In addition to his wife, Curt is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Cameron and Brittney Ritenour of North Canton; his daughter and son-in-law, Whitney Ritenour and Dakota Hoce of Massillon; two grandsons, Callen Ritenour and Jensen Hoce and his brother, Clyde (Jennifer) Ritenour of Cleveland. Curt was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of his third grandchild in the coming months.

Curt’s absolute greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He especially looked forward to spending precious time with his grandsons who were the light of his life.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation care has been provided by the Geib Funeral Center and Crematory at Dover and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Those wishing to do so may send memorial contributions, in memory of Curt, to Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
