Creston W. Schoelles

June 27, 1938 — February 26, 2021

Creston W. Schoelles, 82, of New Philadelphia, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at Dover following a brief illness.

Born in New Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Creston W. and Bernice E. (Gatschet) Schoelles and was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School. Following high school, Creston honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during VietNam. After his honorable discharge, Creston began a career as a Design Engineer with Uhrden Inc. at Sugarcreek and retired following many years of service.

Creston is survived by his wife, Ramona E. (Sietsema) Schoelles, of the residence, his four children, Rebecca A. (David) Cox, Heidi S. (John) Fragasse and Jon D. (Tammy) Schoelles all of New Philadelphia and Kelli R. Schoelles of Dover; eight grandchildren, Kameron and C. Tyler Cox, Meghan and Kayden Schoelles, Marco, Darby, Brady and Collin McKee; three sisters, Sandra (Jerry) Bichsel of New Philadelphia, Sue (Dean) Stephan of New Philadelphia and Pamela (Billy) Griffey of Nobelsville, Indiana.

In addition to his parents, two half-sisters, Betty Bonanno and Doris Cardani also preceded him in death.

In keeping with his wishes, Creston is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A private family graveside service is to be held with Pastor Brian Flood officiating and the New Philadelphia VFW will also be providing military honors.

It is the family’s wish that memorial contributions, to honor Creston’s service, be made to any Veteran’s Charity of the donor’s choice.
