Corey Dale Harmon Ross, 36, of East Sparta, died on August 4, 2026.

Born on February 16, 1990, in Dover, Corey attended Tuscarawas Valley High School. He worked at Sparta Steel operating the plasma table and was an accomplished mechanic.

Corey also had experience operating heavy equipment and could fix just about anything with a motor. His passion for race cars and engines was well known by everyone who knew him.

Above all, Corey loved his family. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Laiken Weese, and her mother, Heather Weese. In addition to Laiken, Corey will be deeply missed by his mother, Beverly (Jim) Mike of East Sparta; his father, Randy Harmon; his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Ross; his uncle, Rick (Carla) Ross; his siblings, Courtney (Terry Lemley) Mike, Josh Mike, Tiffani (Chase) Weller, Tamara (Hunter) Corbett, Casey Harmon, Austin Zedi, Brandon Jones, Michael Brown and Cameron Brown; and numerous cousins, extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

Corey was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Forrest Ross; his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Margauret Harmon; his uncle, Rob Ross; and his cousin, Kody Ross.
