Connor Patrick Williams

Connor Williams, the 11 year old son of Patrick Williams of New Philadelphia and the late Annette Wilson Williams, entered his heavenly home to be with God and his mother early Sunday morning, December 30, 2012, after a fun filled day skiing in Pennsylvania with his father and sister, nine year old Kathleen Williams, also of New Philadelphia.

Born at Coshocton, O. on June 22, 2001, he was a 6th grade student at New Philadelphia’s Welty Middle School. Connor was a straight “A” student and went to the Region 11 Spelling Bee last year after winning the Spell Off at East Elementary.

He’ll be remembered as a bright young man who loved to ski, and root for The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Connor loved his sister Kathleen, and she him. They still chose to sleep in the same bed at times as they were best friends. He was also his father’s best friend and a remarkable boy who could hold adult conversations since the age of 4.

He had a deep interest in history and together, the family enjoyed exploring Gettysburg, PA. Connor was a member of The Presbyterian Church at Coshocton, and had a tremendous faith in God and the Lord, in spite of the rocky road that was placed before him.

In addition to his father and sister, Connor is survived by his paternal grandparents James C. and Joanne R. Williams of New Albany, O. and his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Wilson of Hopedale, O.

He’ll be deeply missed by his aunts and uncles; Teri Williams Natoli of Zelienople, PA, Vonda Wilson-Barnhart of Carrollton, and Suzanne and Jim McConnell of Richmond, O. His cousins; Joey, Jenny and Jackie Natoli, Grace and Toby Barnhart, Vickie, Jon, Vance, Bobby, Mary and Max McConnell, complete the family.

Connor was preceded in death by his mother, Annette, and his maternal grandmother, Beverly Wilson.

Friends are invited to call Wednesday, January 2, from 2 -4 and from 6 -8 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.

Connor’s neighbor, Pastor Jeff Bartell, and the pastor who baptized Connor, the Rev. Jonathan T. Carlisle, will co-officiate Connor’s funeral service Thursday morning, January 3, at 10 in the First Baptist Church at New Philadelphia.

Cremation will follow the service through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory, and the family will gather privately for an inurnment ceremony where Connor will be laid to rest with his mother in Greenwood Cemetery, at Hopedale.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Philadelphia Quaker Foundation, PO Box 627, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
