Connie (Cook) Kinsey, age 75, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in her home after a 15-month battle with leukemia.

She was born in Dennison, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Betty (Kamban) Montgomery and Kenneth Cook.

She was a 1968 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and in May of 1971, married her high school sweetheart, Jim Kinsey. They recently celebrated 55 years of marriage. Connie worked as the office manager for the late Dr. Fred Andrews in New Philadelphia for 20 years. After retiring, she volunteered at Union Hospital and the Tuscarawas County Senior Center. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, vacations to Myrtle Beach and many winters in Florida with her husband.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in passing by her infant son, Brian James Kinsey; and her daughter, Katherine “Kate” Kinsey.

Surviving are her husband, Jim; son, Michael (Joanna) Kinsey of Bellbrook, Ohio; grandchildren, Parker and Charlotte Kinsey; and brother, Terry (Debbie) Cook of Wooster; along with two nieces and three nephews.

Visitaton will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia on June 26, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. Pastor Mike Spies will lead a service beginning at 4 pm in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Evergreen Burial Park.
