It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles D. Martinelli (Chuck), age 75, who peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 30, 2025. He died at his home.

A proud veteran, Chuck served his country with honor in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971. Upon returning home, he dedicated himself to his family and career. He began his career at Timken, where his dedication and work ethic earned him respect and advancement through various positions over more than 30 years of faithful service.

In retirement, Chuck pursued his passion for antiques by running "Barn Antiques," a business that brought him great joy. He had a keen eye for finding treasures and loved the stories and history behind each piece he discovered. He especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge of each piece with others. His enthusiasm for antiques allowed him to connect with fellow collectors and customers who appreciated his knowledge and genuine love for the craft.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son Dean, who tragically passed away in a car accident at the age of 21.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Christy and her husband, Mike, who brought him great joy and pride. Chuck was one of seven siblings and maintained close bonds with his family throughout his life.

He is survived by his siblings: Linda (Joe) Edwards of Livermore, Ca., Marsha (Vinnie) Lauria of Atlanta, Ga., and Kathryn Martinelli of Ripon, Ca.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Helen Martinelli; his beloved son, Dean Martinelli; and his siblings, Daniel Martinelli, Dennis Martinelli and David Martinelli.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
