Cecil Nolen

Cecil Nolen, 78, of Sandyville, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 at his residence with his family by his side.A son of the late James and Anna (Bartlett) Nolen, Cecil was born on July 15, 1928 in Cannonsburg, Kentucky.He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine (Snyder) Nolen; one daughter, Barbara (Steven) Himes of Bolivar, four sons, Gerald “Skip” (Nadine) Nolen of Canton, Michael (Brenda) Nolen of Canton, Gary (Valerie) Nolen of East Sparta and Kenny (Michele) Nolen of Dover; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one sister, Delores “Jean” (Carl) Thorley of Stow, Ohio.Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Timothy James Nolen; five brothers and two sisters.In keeping with Cecil’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services observed and cremation will take place at the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.Memorial contributions may be made in Cecil’s name to Hospice of Stark County and/or East Sparta United Methodist Church.
