Carol Ann Miller, age 80, of New Philadelphia died peacefully September 15, 2026 while under the care of Crossroads Hospice, while in Sunny Slope Care Center in Bowerston.
Born July 21, 1946, in the family home at New Philadelphia and was the daughter of William Henry and Dorothy Jane (Brunner) Weber.
Carol was a 1964 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. She enjoyed caring for her family, crocheting, cross stitching, sewing Barbie clothes, working puzzle books, watching her soap operas, attending “Doo-Whop” concerts, gardening and working in her flower gardens. As her family grew, she loved caring for her grandchildren and had a great love for her beloved dog, Chase.
On October 9, 2003, she married Carl Dean Miller who survives of the home. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (Chad Harris) Menefee of Massillon, Jennifer Swinderman; grandchildren, Shelby Ladrach, Gavin (Kat Dornbier) Barnish, and Michael Swinderman all of Dover; a great-grandson, Daniel Barnish; her step-children, William (Mindy) Miller of Jewett, Carl D. (Sherry) Miller III of Sherrodsville; step-grandchildren, Carter Miller, Carson Miller, Nash Miller, and Marina Miller as well as her step-great-grandchildren. Completing the family is brother William H. Weber of Greene, and nephew Michael (Corinne) Weber of Strasburg and their family.
The family will greet guests on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 4 – 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Carol’s life will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Methodist Cemetery.
